Occasion styling

Dress foryour moment.

One occasion, thought through end to end, so the day itself asks nothing of you.

The idea

The outfit is the easy part.

What makes a day feel effortless is rarely the dress. It is knowing the shoes will hold for four hours, that the fabric behaves in the heat, and that nothing has been left to be decided that morning.

So we work backwards from the day itself — where you will be standing, for how long, and beside whom.

Who it is for

This is for you if…

  • There is a date in the diary

A wedding, a launch, a portrait, a first day — something you would like to feel ready for.

  • You are travelling for it

And the suitcase has to answer for several days at once.

  • You already own the piece

And want the rest of the look built properly around it.

What it addresses

The parts that go wrong quietly.

  • The fit nobody checked

An alteration that takes a week is a problem only if it is noticed on the day.

  • Details left to chance

The bag, the shoe, the one piece of gold — decided calmly, in advance.

  • Dressing for a photograph

What reads well in a room and what reads well in an image are not always the same.

A suggested shape

How it could run.

A proposal, not a fixed programme. We confirm the shape with you before anything is arranged.

  1. 01

    The brief

The occasion, the setting, the hours, and how you want to be remembered in it.

  2. 02

    Options

A small number of directions rather than a catalogue — from your wardrobe first.

  3. 03

    The fitting

Everything tried together, with time left for an alteration if one is needed.

  4. 04

    The day, written down

What goes on, in what order, and what travels in the bag.

Questions

Before you write.

How far in advance should I write?

As early as you can — alterations and sourcing both need room. Write anyway if the date is close; we will tell you honestly what is still possible.

Can you work with a piece I already have?

Often that is the best starting point. Send a photograph of it with your request.

Do you dress more than one person for the same event?

Tell us who else is involved when you write and we will say what we can take on.
